Function  PCA stands for Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid and is an important skin-identical & skin-replenishing ingredient that makes it a great natural moisturizer that helps the skin to hold onto water and stay nicely hydrated. It is proven to improve the appearance of dehydrated, mature skin.  Sodium PCA is thought to be 1.5 times more effective than glycerin & twice as effective as propylene glycol at drawing in water to the skin

Function  The sodium salt of lactic acid and is a natural constituent of the stratum corneum (the uppermost layer of skin). It's an excellent humectant skin moisturizer with over twice the water-holding ability than Glycerin. Function  Caprylyl glycol is a handy multi-tasking humectant that acts as a preservative, boosting the effectiveness of other preservatives and stabilizing skincare formulations. It is used to replace traditional preservatives such as parabens. Due to it being a humectant, it is often used in lotions, moisturizers and cleansers in order to help attract moisture and lock it in the skin, giving skin a smooth plumped appearance.
